New car this week! We'll find out the official chassis number tonight, but Brian said on racehub a few weeks ago that they were making a new car for Dega! _________________ Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. |

It's just pot luck isn't it this week...and given the luck the #42 team has had this year I would put short odds on the race following the same pattern as yesterday's at Texas.
Roll on Dover...I don't hold out much hope for the next few weeks - Dega's a lottery, Juan's never been good at Richmond (maybe Brian should bribe him with steak like he did last year) and Darlington's usually been even worse. Dover onwards should be good...but Juan'll probably be 300pts outside the Chase by then.
Last year seems such a long time ago now, if anything looking back makes this year even more painful. |

Juan needs to work with Mcmurray and not ignore him like last Daytona. Mcmurray is one of the best you can get on Plate tracks (Win Pepsi 400 2007, Win Amp 500 2009 and ofocurse this years Daytona), so please don't wreck each other just help each other out, points-wise they are both in not that great positions.
But indeed with the luck the haves in this season I would be glad with something reasonable and focus on the normal tracks. _________________

Daytona wasn't the greatest chance to work together though because they had cars that worked best on different ends of the racetrack. Talladega won't have much of that problem! Its just werever you want to go, lol!
Also, the Talladega car will be 902... Not the new car as promised, but I bet it's been completely rebuilt if Brian said it was new, so I'm hoping for bifg things! (Hope is really all anyone can have for Talladega, lol!) _________________ Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. |

Tums is the perfect sponsor for Talladega... I don't consume Tums for any other events, lol! _________________ Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. |

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 TUMS Team
MEDIA ALERT: Juan Pablo Montoya will be available at the No. 42 Target hauler for a brief media Q&A session on Friday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. (CST)
Fast Relief for the No. 42: This weekend TUMS will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 42 Chevrolet at Talladega Superspeedway. TUMS first became a Target racing partner in 2007 and this will be Montoya’s second time representing the TUMS brand. For more than 75 years, TUMS has been a fast, effective treatment for heartburn and acid indigestion, neutralizing stomach acid on contact. Today, TUMS is the number one antacid in America, used by more people than any other brand to treat heartburn. TUMS is an excellent source of calcium and can be found nationwide at most drug, grocery and mass merchandise retailers. Visit www.TUMS.com for more information.
Making an Appearance: Montoya will be making an appearance at the TUMS display on Saturday, April 24 in the Fan Zone at Talladega Superspeedway. Montoya will sign autographs for fans following his qualifying run on Saturday afternoon. Fans are encouraged to stop by prior to the event to receive a ticket for the signing. Tickets are limited.
Talladega History: Montoya will take the green flag for his seventh NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. He made his stock car racing debut at the 2.66-mile track in 2006. Montoya is the reigning pole-sitter for this event and averages a 15th-place start and an 18th-place finish in six previous starts. The 2008 spring event marked his best finish at the Superspeedway, where he started 26th and raced his way to the second-position.
Defending Pole-sitter: Montoya drove the No. 42 TUMS Chevrolet to the pole position in the 2009 spring event at Talladega Superspeedway posting a speed of 188.171 mph at a time of 50.89 seconds. He will look to defend his pole position this Saturday when qualifying gets under way at 10:35 a.m. (CST).
Last Weekend: Juan Pablo Montoya and Team Target had a top-10 finish within their grasp and with 17 laps remaining that strong run came to an end. Montoya took a hard hit to the wall after going through the grass when trying to avoid the on-track incident in front of him. The Target Chevrolet was towed back to the garage and the team was credited with a 34th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway.
TUMS Fun Fact: It would take 337, 075 TUMS to fit around the 2.66-tri oval of Talladega Superspeedway and 109,900,800 TUMS to fill the inside of the 53’ transporter trailer top to bottom.
CHASSIS INFO
No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet (NSCS): Chassis #1009. Crew Chief Kevin “Bono” Manion has elected to bring Chassis #1009. This is a brand new chassis.
No. 42 TUMS Chevrolet (NSCS): Chassis #902. Crew Chief Brian Pattie and team will bring Chassis #902 to Talladega Superspeedway. This is the same chassis the No. 42 used at Daytona International Speedway during the season-opening Daytona 500 where Montoya qualified eighth and finished 10th. _________________ Never take life seriously. Looks like rain will again be a factor this weekend. Saturday looks the worst. So Qualifying and the Nationwide race are in danger. Sunday looks a bit better, but still has a chance of thunder storms. _________________ Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. |

i'd definitely say that Tally is a strong race for us, Juan has always ran at the front there, remember his first ARCA race ? And he finished many times Top 3, epic second with Kyle owing him one V.
Well, if the big one lottery doesn't play against us, i think great hopes are justified.
Cheers,

From a short article. Nothing new anyway
| Quote: | The team appears to have faster cars this season, but Montoya is in a position where he needs to think about points. He’s 24th in the standings heading into Sunday’s race at Talladega Superspeedway.
“We don't need top-12s; we need top-5s to be able to come back to where we need to be,” Montoya said. “It's hard to know what's going to happen. But it's kind of weird because we're behind in points from last year, but we're not that far off, and we've had three DNFs [Did Not Finish]. ... We're behind on points from where we need to be, but we've got a car capable of the win." |

And just a quote from an recent interview with Ernesto Viso, IRL driver:
| Quote: | SI: Which driver is the least healthy eater?
EV: Well, definitely Montoya [current NASCAR and former Indy and Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya]. I think he's very happy to be here in the states, drinking a lot of coke, and hamburgers and stuff with it. |

LOL!
Would LOVE to see JPM win at 'dega. Got the family there for the first time in a few weeks.
Speaking of the family, Connie posted a pic of herself and, for the third time in a row, she looks cute pregnant. _________________
